Monumental Marathon Partners with SYF to Ignite Hope

On
November 2, when runners take their place at the start line for the
Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, many will be making a difference in the lives
of at-risk students thanks to a new partnership between the IndianapolisMonumental Marathon (IMM) and Simon Youth Foundation (SYF).
IMM, the
state’s largest and fastest marathon, has selected SYF as one of its charities
of choice in an effort to support public education. In just five years, the IMM
has donated over $400,000 to support local education-based nonprofits – and for
the first time this year, SYF will be among the charities.
As part
of the partnership, IMM and SYF will take their message to Simon Malls
throughout Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.
Shoppers will have the opportunity to register for the Indianapolis
Monumental Marathon or Half Marathon to directly support Simon Youth Foundation
with five dollars of each registration donated back to SYF.
The
Indianapolis Monumental Marathon has always been about more than running. This
new partnership between IMM and SYF – two organizations with parallel missions,
allows both organizations to further their important work in education.

For SYF,
the partnership provides an opportunity to connect with the running community
and continue to make great strides in helping at-risk students achieve their
dreams of graduating from high school.

What was
already a beautiful place to set your pace has now become a place to ignite
hope in students who need help!

The
2013 race will be held in downtown Indianapolis on Saturday, Nov. 2, and will
include a marathon, half-marathon, 5K and kids’ fun run. Click here for more information about IMM. Sign-up using promo code:
SYF and save $5 when you register today for the full or half marathon and $5
will be donated to Simon Youth Foundation.
