Scholarships

SYF has been fortunate to be able to continue to offer graduating students around the country with access to three scholarship programs. For the 2021-2022 school year, SYF awarded 288 new scholarships to students with academic promise, proven civic engagement, and demonstrated financial need through these programs.  These awards bring the number of lifetime recipients to almost 6,000, totaling nearly $21 million.

Scholarship Spotlight: Said

Said Gomez attended Archer High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was the valedictorian of his 614-person class, as well as the recipient of the 2022 Atlanta Journal Constitution Cup, chosen by his school’s faculty and administration. Said believes everyone has a purpose in life, and his purpose is to leave a positive impact on the healthcare industry as a healthcare administrator. In partnership with the Mall of Georgia and SYF Shari Greenberg Community Scholarship program, Said was awarded a 4-year Award of Excellence Scholarship with a total value of $4,000.

“I hope my legacy of impact in this world will be a pioneer in the healthcare administration field by providing more accessible and affordable healthcare programs,” Said wrote.

Said will be attending Georgia Tech in the Fall as a Business Administration major. Upon graduation, he plans to continue his education in a dual graduate program, pursuing a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration.
