SYF Scholarships
SYF awarded more than $545,000 in scholarships to over 190 students across all three SYF scholarship programs for the 2022-2023 academic year. The application window for the 2023-2024 academic year closed on March 11. Students will begin to receive notifications of scholarship awards in May 2024.
Each year, the Simon Youth Foundation helps students achieve their academic goals through its scholarship programs. SYF offers opportunities to graduating students across the country through three programs: the Simon Youth Academy Scholarship, the Shari Simon Greenberg Community Scholarship, and the Greg Saunders Legacy Scholarship.
Simon Youth Academy Scholarships are specifically for graduates of the 32 Simon Youth Academies. SYF awards 1-2 scholarships per Academy, with awards around $15,000 for a 4-year scholarship and $3,500 for a 2-year scholarship.
The Shari Simon Greenburg Community Scholarship is specifically for high school seniors who live in Simon Mall communities. This scholarship has two types of awards – Awards of Excellence, which are renewable for up to 4 years, and Community Awards, which are one-time scholarships.
The Greg Saunders Legacy Scholarship is for dependents of Simon Property Group (SPG) employees who show academic promise and financial need. Scholarship awards average $1735 for an academic year. These scholarships are non-renewable; however, recipients can reapply each year for up to 4 years if they continue to meet the program requirements.
